Carry Fire is the eleventh studio album by English singer-songwriter Robert Plant , released on 13 October 2017. The album was produced by Plant and his Sensational Space Shifters bandmate John Baggott. It was recorded at several locations in England and Wales. The album's title track was released as the lead single on 15 September 2017.

Robert Plant and the band in top form Robert Plant returns from the studio in 2017 with a brand new album. "Carry Fire" is the follow-up to "Lullaby and ... The Ceaseless Roar" from 2014, which saw the British musician and former Led Zeppelin frontman reach number two in the UK album chart. As on the previous album, Plant is assisted on the new album by The Sensational Space Shifters: John Baggot (keyboards, piano), Justin Adams (guitar), Dave Smith (drums) and Liam "Skin" Tyson (guitar). In addition, all four played a variety of other instruments in the studio, some of which were very exotic, such as the oud (Arabic lute) and African drums. Meanwhile, Seth Lakeman became a permanent member of the band, playing viola and violin on the song "Carry Fire". Robert Plant and his musicians recorded eleven songs together at Top Cat studios in Wiltshire, as well as at Real World Studios and Rockfield Studios. In the process they have had several interesting guests, such as Albanian cellist Redi Hasa, who can be heard on three songs, and Chrissie Hynde, who takes part in a duet on "Bluebirds Over The Mountain". The first taste of "Carry Fire" has already been brought to you by the single "The May Queen".
