Soul To Soul is the third album by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. The album was released on September 30, 1985 by Epic Records. The album was Vaughan's first release after his near-fatal helicopter crash in August 1985. The album was recorded at Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tennessee and was produced by Vaughan and Double Trouble. The album includes the hit singles "Change It" and "The House Is Rockin'".

Stevie Ray Vaughan's third studio album "Soul To Soul" was released in 1985, just two years after his successful debut "Texas Flood". On his way to a more soulful, R&B blues sound, Vaughan added two new band members on keyboards and saxophone. The band was adept at covering songs by Hank Ballard, Doyle Bramhall and Willie Dixon, which benefited Stevie Ray Vaughan's modern blues sound. His own compositions like "Say What," "Ain't Gone 'N' Give Up On Love" and "Life Without You" show an artist who is passionate about true blues, but also evolving as a songwriter. Stevie Ray Vaughan (g, voc); Reese Wynans (keyb); Joe Sublett (sax); Tommy Shannon (b); Chris 'Whipper' Layton (dr) Analogue Productions' reissue of Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Soul To Soul" on 45 rpm is so good, as are its 45 rpm accompaniments "Texas Flood" and "Couldn't Stand The Weather," that they truly represent what Gregg Geller, producer and A&R representative, called "the best replication of the master tapes to date." We've already brought you the 33 1/3 RPM "Texas Hurricane" box set, which features the greatest tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan ever reissued - six of Vaughan's most classic album titles remastered for the ultimate blues and guitar fan. Now we've taken the next step and produced 45rpm versions of these three exceptional LPs. For all of these albums, we used the original half-inch analog master tapes at 30 inches per second. Ryan K. Smith of Sterling Sound cut the LP lacquers using a state-of-the-art VMS 80 cutting lathe. Gary Salstrom took care of the plating and, of course, the vinyls were pressed in our pressing plant at Quality Record Pressings, makers of the best sounding LPs in the world. By the time his third record in as many years was released in October 1985, Stevie Ray Vaughan's myth-making was already complete. But no one could have anticipated the artistic leaps and further prowess the guitarist displayed on "Soul To Soul," on which Vaughan added a full-time keyboardist and saxophonist and reached deep into his home state's musical well for themes of soul, R&B and surf. Vaughan penned four of the album's ten tracks "Soul to Soul"; two songs were released as singles. The album reached No. 34 on the Billboard 200 and the music video for "Change It" was regularly featured on MTV. There isn't a single link in this production chain that isn't absolutely top-notch. Absolutely the best that money can buy. But beyond that, we put our passion into this project. Acoustic Sounds is a big fan of the blues and Stevie Ray Vaughan. To work on this project and make these records sound and look the best they have ever sounded is a big dream come true for us.
