Nuclear Blast's involvement with death metal dates back to the genre's huge boom in the late 80s and early 90s. "Death ... is Just The Beginning" set the stage for the careers of many bands that would soon become legendary, such as Pungent Stench, Dismember, Hypocrisy, Kataklysm and many more. Although the genre suffered some stagnation in the mid to late nineties, it never completely died out and Nuclear Blast continued to release quality death metal. We are proud to announce the resurrection of this legendary series with the new name "MMXVIII".
